I was so excited to be at the Blue Skillet. Saw their video on YouTube and had to try out their food. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Salisbury steak with gravy, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Can’t leave off the corn bread. Everything was hot, fresh and tasty. He was barbecuing spare ribs, so I ordered some for the next day accompanied by potato salad. I will definitely be going back and bringing my friends. Sorry, I totally forgot to take a picture. Guess you’re going to have to go there yourself.
So happy that we stopped here on our way home. The food was delicious and fresh, the service was quick and friendly, and the owner was kind and hospitable. The best food I’ve had from any sit down restaurant in a long time. This will be our go-to place to eat anytime we’re in the area from now on!
Wonderful staff and welcoming atmosphere as if you’re family. Family owned & operated. Nice little gem in Lexington. Heart & soul put into the food and it shows. Absolutely delicious.
We did not eat here but we worked down the street from this establishment and let me tell you, the smell of the food was so amazing! If I would have had more time we would have most definitely tried it! We are planning on making a trip back to see what all the aroma was about! ...
Perfectly seasoned catfish/shrimp and amazingly juicy pulled pork. We were just passing through and needed some soul food in our lives and they did not disappoint. The chef even came out to check on us after eating, very friendly people. High recommended if you want a cozy greazy home style cooked meal!
What an incredible atmosphere of this place has! Walked in with family after seeing the great reviews, and very happy to report that the venue did not disappoint! Food was well priced and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere matched the soul food, and you could tell that there are many regulars that frequent this place. The owner and his entire staff were all very personable, and we truly felt as though we were having a home cooked meal with the best of friends. Highly recommend giving Blue Skillet a try - you will not be disappointed!
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I had an incredible experience here, the customer service is top tier. Everything is absolutely delicious we had the burger, Mac and cheese and fries my daughter loved the Mac and cheese. They also gave my daughter free kool aid and a side of mashed potatoes and she loved it! Support small businesses!!! This spot is a diamond in the rough, you will not regret coming here
Great soul food at a reasonable price. Pork chop was cooked and seasoned to perfection! The little cornbread pancake that comes on the side was absolutely delicious and the greens were just the right amount of salty savory. Will be returning when around!
